Are you a skilled, enthusiastic Nurse looking to work in a passionate team of like-minded individuals? Then why not join our forward thinking local Neonatal Unit here in Cornwall?
Our Neonatal Unit has combination of 20 ITU, HDU and Special Care beds and is part of the Southwest Neonatal Network. We care for around 600 babies per year and look after babies born from 27 weeks gestation but will stabilise and provide intensive care for babies born earlier than this when required. We also have the ability to initiate cooling, deliver nitric oxide and Cerebral Function Monitoring for babies when needed in liaison with our tertiary center prior to transfer if necessary. Our Outreach service also provides support to babies discharged from the unit with ongoing medical or nursing needs.
We are looking to recruit Band 5 Nurses who are qualified in specialty but will also consider applications from enthusiastic Nurses who have experience of working on a Neonatal Unit and are willing to undertake their Neonatal Specialty training. .
We have recently relocated to our newly refurbished and redesigned unit and are really excited to welcome families into this spacious and calming area.
We have increased our facilities for parents and families and improved our outpatient’s facilities which will help us in our work with the Burdett Trust and the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative.
Cornwall is a fantastic place to live and work – a spectacular coastline, un-spoilt countryside as well as the Cathedral city of Truro, with good transport links by train and plane.
There are full time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time posts available working a minimum of 23 hours each week.
