An exciting part-time fixed term or secondment opportunity has arisen for a Falls Prevention Practitioner based on the main site of the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

Open to allied health professionals, Registered Nurses and Midwives, the new role will lead the falls harm reduction work programme, part of the Trust’s broader harm reduction agenda. The post-holder will split their time between: falls data analysis and reporting to support quality improvement work and the delivery of the falls harm reduction plan; and to working autonomously alongside our multi-professional teams supporting assessment and interventions targeted at harm reduction, as part of ward based quality improvement cycles. It would be anticipated the practitioner support three ward areas with quality improvement work, encourage opportunities to share learning from success across the Trust. This is an excellent opportunity for a practitioner seeking to gain experience of corporate level strategic development work – a great opportunity to make a distinct and lasting impression Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Nurse, the Falls Prevention Practitioner will monitor all falls related incidents and supporting the reporting of falls performance data, Ward-to-Board.
