Commencing August 2018
We require enthusiastic, motivated and innovative individuals to work with us in the Emergency Department in the stunning county of Cornwall. These exciting 6 or 12 month posts offer an 80:20 split of clinical : fellow time with an opportunity to increase your experience in Emergency Medicine, as well as allowing personal development. These opportunities are the ideal step up to an Emergency Medicine Specialty Doctor position or higher training application.
Your 8 hours of non-clinical time each week would enable you to attend our dedicated weekly EM training programme incorporating in-situ simulation training, USS masterclasses and up-to-date guideline presentations in addition to developing your own skills and interests within the field of Emergency Medicine. There are opportunities to get involved as a trauma, simulation or teaching fellow, or indeed lead on quality improvement projects within the Emergency Department.
In addition to this prioritisation of your individual development we are able to offer funding for the completion of ATLS, ALS and APLS (or equivalent) during your 12 month post.
After enhancing your skills in Emergency Medicine with us why not take the opportunity to work overseas or on secondment elsewhere? We can offer support in helping you to arrange this time out and could offer you a further 12 month job back with us after your 12 months away.
Applicants are required to be GMC registered. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.
