The Department of Clinical Technology is responsible for the large and very diverse range of complex electro-mechanical medical devices used by the Trust hospitals and other community healthcare providers.
We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and motivated Medical Engineering Technician within the Critical Care Team, providing a key supporting role in the care, planned maintenance, repair, evaluation, acceptance and calibration of a range of complex medical devices and systems, but particularly those associated with anaesthetics, ventilation and renal technologies.
Prior knowledge/experience in the repair and servicing of medical equipment may be an advantage; however, appropriate candidates with experience of maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment in other sectors/industries will also be considered.
This is a full-time post working 37.5 hours per week.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
