Rotational around the Princess Alexandra Wing

We are currently seeking enthusiastic maternity health care support workers to join our team at Princess Alexandra Wing, Royal Cornwall Hospital.  The successful applicants will be responsible for supporting the midwifery team in delivering high standards of care to women and their newborn babies

The posts require the successful applicant to be able to work flexibly, and be fully rotational within all areas of the maternity department.   This will also include working in our brand new alongside birth unit which will open in autumn 2017. You will be given opportunities to develop the skills required for this interesting and varied role.

Cornwall’s Maternity Services look after over 4000 women and their families per year.

If you would like to join a progressive team committed to supporting women through that special journey to parenthood, we are waiting to hear from you!

Applicants should be trained to NVQ Level 2 (Health) or equivalent but should be in the process of working towards NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.  Venepuncture skills and previous knowledge of supporting feeding choices are desirable, but training will be given to the right applicant.
