Clinical and Business Support Officer

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Clinical and Business Support Officer to join our friendly Cornwall IT Services systems support team.  The team supports in excess of 12,000 clinical and non-clinical staff within the Cornwall Healthcare Community in the use of operational computer systems.

We are looking for a person with the following skills, attributes and experience:

  • Good general understanding of technology.
  • Experience of using NHS Clinical or Business application.
  • Proven customer care skills.
  • Proven communications skills, pleasant telephone manner.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Copes well in a busy environment.
  • Accurate word processing / typing / numeracy / data entry skills.
  • Experience user of MS office applications.
  • Experienced user of e-mail systems – MS Outlook and NHS Mail an advantage.
  • Flexibility
  • Organised and driven.
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and effectively.

 This is a full time post working 37.5 hours per week, currently Monday to Friday, but there may be part-time opportunities available.  However it will be necessary for the post-holder to work as part of an on-call rota and participate in flexible working hours in order to provide extended or out of hours support to Cornwall Healthcare Community.
