The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is looking for an exceptional Senior Nurse to provide leadership across the Surgical Division both at Treliske, St Michaels and West Cornwall Hospital Sites.

This is a diverse and complex Division spread across 4 different Directorates covering 12 surgical specialties. These services are delivered by 1400 wte staff (661 wte relate to Nurse staffing), and an operating budget of £91million. The services span; 19 theatres, 6 wards 2 day case units, 1 oral surgery unit, 2 theatre admission units and Critical care facilities delivered in a 15 bedded combined ITU/HDU. In addition the division is responsible for a number of outpatient and ambulatory care services.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Clinical Directors and Associate Director to lead on the strategic direction for the Division whilst leading the management of the day to day operational activity.

This is a senior role and requires someone with previous senior nurse experience, who is forward thinking and has evidence of implementing complex change within the acute sector.
