Assistant Practitioner

Fixed Term contract: Ending 1st December 2019

Are you passionate about supporting people with learning disabilities and / or autism and / or additional needs within the acute hospital setting?

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Royal Cornwall Hospital to improve the quality of care received by individuals with a learning disability and / or autistic spectrum disorder and / or additional needs.

You will be responsible for supporting the interface between mainstream general hospital services, primary care services and community specialist services in supporting people with learning disabilities and / or autism and / or additional needs when requiring hospital services.

This is a challenging developmental opportunity to make significant impact on the delivery of patient care in acute settings.

You should have a strong base of clinical experience and you will need to have skills to contribute to clinical decision making as part of the wider team. We are looking for an individual who can develop effective and collaborative working with people with learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorders, additional needs and their families, carers and multi-agency colleagues.

This is a full time post of 37.5 hours per week, covering five days per week, but there may be part-time opportunities available..

For further information please contact Jane Rees, Team Manager, on 01872 254551 or 07789 876247.

Proposed interview date: 28th November 2018
