Within the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly health system, Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) and the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) are working together to deliver service improvements through integration.
The health system has a well-established shared service, Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Information and Technology Services (CITS), hosted by RCHT and supporting countywide information systems and underpinning technology to the Trusts, NHS Kernow, General Practices and a number of non-NHS bodies. The two Trusts are now looking to make a step change in digital capability through the appointment of a joint Chief Information Officer reporting to the Trust Chief Executives. We are seeking a leader to build new collaborative services and develop our system architecture to assemble and manage the cross-organisational assets and capabilities.
The CIO will be responsible for the development and delivery of the CFT and RCHT digital strategy, management of the CITS shared service and for bringing together our digital capacity across our organisations to work collaboratively. The post holder will work across the two Trusts to develop a common platform to enable future integration. Both organisations are actively investing in improving internal digital capabilities and processes and are looking for a CIO who can bring these programmes together to ensure maximum impact.
This position will have a high level of independence and accountability and will provide digital leadership and capability to both Trust Boards. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our digital future.
